House of Doctors
House of Doctor is a mobile app that enables users to instantly search solo practitioner, check real-time availability, and book appointments without the usual clinic waiting hassles.

In 2022, UAE had a modern healthcare ecosystem but still faced operational gaps at the clinic and patient experience level. Most discovery platforms (like HealthHub by Al-Futtaim, Okadoc, DoctorUna) focused on large hospital networks, leaving independent clinics and smaller practices underserved.
Help patients discover the right doctors by specialty, surface real-time availability, enable instant appointment booking, reduce clinic waiting and friction, and deliver a clean, trustworthy, and premium experience tailored for the UAE market.

The research phase involved studying insights from authorized healthcare organizations, conducting qualitative interviews with patients and doctors, evaluating competitor apps and case studies, and synthesizing findings around user needs and business goals.
The goal is to understand how patients currently book doctor appointments and to identify the key frustrations they face with existing booking systems. It also involves learning how doctors and clinics manage their schedules, while validating the need for real-time availability and instant appointment booking.

I built the House of Doctors mobile app using Flutter, owning the frontend development end-to-end and translating the final UI and interactions into production-ready code.
Flutter allowed me to ship a single, scalable codebase for both iOS and Android while maintaining a consistent, native-like experience.
I converted designs into reusable Flutter widgets, handled real-time availability states, and ensured smooth booking interactions across devices. Close collaboration with backend APIs helped deliver reliable scheduling, clear confirmations, and performance-optimized flows.

Designing and developing a UAE healthcare product from India was challenging due to limited firsthand exposure to local infrastructure, regulations, and user behavior.
Additionally, balancing multiple design and technical ideas within agency time constraints while having no prior healthcare experience, required careful prioritization and rapid learning.
